Position: Maintenance Engineer
Experience: 3 - 7 years
Location: Ambernath

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Machine Maintenance
  • Attend machine breakdowns and troubleshoot problems.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) as per schedule.
  • Maintain CNC, VMC, production, utility, and other machines.
  • Identify recurring machine problems and take corrective action.
  • Ensure machines are available for production with minimum downtime.
2. Electrical Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults in machines and panels.
  • Maintain motors, control panels, MCB/MCCB, contactors, relays, sensors, etc.
  • Check and maintain proper earthing of machines and electrical equipment.
  • Attend electrical breakdowns and ensure safe restoration.
  • Support electrical inspection and testing activities.
3. Utility Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain air compressors, pumps, DG, AC, VRF system, water systems, and other utilities.
  • Coordinate with external technicians/vendors when required.
4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Record PM activities, breakdowns, and repair details.
  • Monitor machine condition and identify potential failures.
  • Maintain maintenance checklists and records.
5. Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
  • Ensure LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures are followed where applicable.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Support safety, quality, and audit requirements.
6. Spare Parts & Tools
  • identify required spare parts for maintenance activities.
  • Maintain proper records of critical spares.
  • Ensure maintenance tools are available and properly maintained.
7. Documentation
  • Maintain breakdown reports and maintenance records.
  • Update machine PM checklists.
  • Record downtime and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain equipment history and service records.
8. Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with machine/equipment vendors for service and repairs.
  • Support vendor visits and service activities.
  • Verify work completion and report any pending issues.
Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of motors, sensors, contactors, relays, control panels, and machines.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance.
  • Good safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and during breakdown/emergency situations.

Qualification:

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related trade.
  • Relevant industrial maintenance experience preferred.
